Royce Worrell | EMS Division Chief

Royce M. Worrell is in charge of our EMS division. Chief Worrell has 40 years in EMS and has been with Humble for 5 years.

Chief Worrell attended Stephen F. Austin and received a BBA degree. He serves on numerous state and local committees and has such accolades as being named EMS Administrator of the Year and Paramedic of the Year, for the State of Texas.

David Langenberg | Fire Chief

David Langenberg serves as the Fire Chief for the City of Humble. He has two sons; Colin, who is a student at Bridgeland High School, and Corbin, who is pursuing a BSN at Prairie View A&M while serving in the Texas Army National Guard.

Chief Langenberg has 25 years in the fire / EMS Service. Chief Langenberg has multiple undergraduate degrees, a Master’s degree from SHSU in Public Administration, and the professional designation of Executive Fire Officer, from the National Fire Academy.

Chief Langenberg also has multiple certifications through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, and the Department of State Health Services and is a Peace Officer through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. He served on Texas Task Force 1, a federal and state search & rescue team, for 10 years and was deployed multiple times to man-made and natural disasters. He also serves as a publicly elected commissioner for Harris County Emergency Services District #9.

Wyatt Watkins | Assistant Chief

Wyatt Watkins, CFE, is over our operations and administration. Chief Watkins has 33 years in the Fire Service, and has been with Humble for 24 years, and specializes in incident command and emergency communications. He is a Certified Fire Executive, a Master Firefighter, and an EMT-Paramedic. He also serves on a Type III Incident Management Team and is an elected Commissioner with Harris County ESD #4. Outside of the office, Wyatt enjoys aviation, woodworking, and fly fishing.
